The History Foundations Lab
A guided, untimed 120-question preparation assessment for Praxis® World and U.S. History (5941). Get explanations as you work; save and return on this device.
Reading strategy for longer Praxis questions
1. Read the question prompt first. Identify what you need to find: a cause, inference, comparison, or source limitation.
2. Read the passage in small sections. After each part, summarize the key point in five or six words before moving on.
3. Find evidence, then compare answers. Eliminate choices that make absolute claims such as “all,” “never,” or “immediately” unless the source supports them.
4. If stuck, mark it and move on. In a timed exam, avoid spending several minutes rereading a single item. Return after easier questions.
Some official 5941 items also use maps, charts, graphs, cartoons, and photographs. These original practice questions are supplementary—not an ETS replica. Compare with the official ETS 5941 Study Companion.
